Hike from Yangdi to Xingping
Yangdi is located on the Li river, this small town is very picturesque and worth a visit. Yangdi is also the ideal starting point for a hike along the river to Xingping. The area between Yangdi and Xingping is regarded as the most beautiful part of the Li River. This is where many tourists do a cruise.
Observe cormorant fishing
The cormorant is a bird that has the ability to dive under water and stay there a long time looking for fish. It can grab the fish and take it to the surface in its beak before eating it. This skill has been used over the years by locals to catch fish for their meals. They prevent the fish being swallowed by the cormorant by putting a string around the birds’ neck. The string is not tight but the bird's neck cannot expand enough to eat the fish. At this stage the local "fisherman" will grab the bird and empty its catch into a basket. Some locals still fish this way.
Silver Cave
The Silver Cave located 25 km from Yangshuo County, is a splendid limestone cave. It runs through 12 mountains and a roundabout tour covers approximately 2 km. The cave is deep and irregular, with a great number of stalactites of thousand charms, which, in lights glint like silver, hence the name of the cave. These majestic, diamond-like stalactites decorate the cave and make it into a dazzling place. The cave can be divided into three sections: upper cave, lobby and the lower cave, with dozens of distinctive scenery.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces in Longji
Longji Titian is an ideal place for those who cherish rural tranquility and solitude. To get to the Dragon's Backbone one must ascend dizzying heights (the highest in southern China), and enter a mystical fog that removes everything travelers know about modern China, placing you in a time when people were one with the good earth. No white tile buildings in sight, the pastoral villages are constructed entirely of two and three story wood cabins hugging the vertical mountainside, with spring water coursing through the town's canals. Here we will find accommodations at the simple family-run inns that make up the small settlements.
Moon Hill
Moon Hill is located eight kilometers south of the town of Yangshuo. It is a limestone pinnacle with a moon-shaped hole. This is probably the most famous hill in the Yangshuo area. From the moon-shaped hole on top of the hill you get a great bird-eyes’ view over this fascinating landscape. The hike up the hill takes about 1h. There are 1251 steps from the foot to the top. This is called 'Appreciating Moon Path' because you can see the sky through the hole from different angles, appearing as a full, half or crescent moon depending on the angle.
Cooking school
This cooking school is located in a village near Yangshuo and opened by an Australian who loves Yangshuo and the local cuisine.
